Definitely a Kestrel. Re-branded as the Series 9C. I've never seen one up close, but there was a slight change in the Kestrels during that time frame, with a flatter side on the BB shell. I've no idea which version of the 200 series ended up being the 9C. Another clue would be the seat tube, whether it allows the stem to bottom out or not. That change was sometime during that same era.

The 9C gave folks a chance to buy a race-ready full Dura Ace STI bike when not a lot of that was around, at any price point. If I'd have been thinking along those lines back then, I'd have bought one. As it was, most of the Schwinn dealers in my area were selling AirDynes and MagnaDyne trainers.
