Scott Vantage 1.0

I'm mostly a C&V guy, but ran across a Scott mountain bike in very good shape:
1995 Scott Vantage 1.0 - BikePedia

Should I convert it to a mustache or drop-bar gravel grinder, with narrower urban tires, to appeal to a commuter or college student? Or, should I leave it as is and sell it to a mountain bike aficionado? (I don't mountain bike enough to justify keeping it as is for myself...) If I do sell it, what might be the price range - in a mid-Michigan college town? (Go Green!!)

Thanks in advance for any replies!

(By the way, I recently rode some mountain bike trails in Marquette, MI, and had a blast. They have quite an extensive network of trails, and it was a cool experience for an older guy who usually rides vintage road bikes.)
