Yes but those forces are in directions that the designers accounted for. A force in a direction that the part wasn't designed to handle...no matter how small...could be an issue. I have seen a Fizik Aliente with snapped CF rails that proves this perfectly. Rails snapped right off because the bike (17.5 lbs) was hung by the nose of the saddle a force you probably wouldn't design a saddle to see.
