I appreciate the comments. Perhaps I should have added that I already own a cyclocross bike with a front disc brake (Pedal Force CX1 with Winwood full carbon fork). I've never used anything wider than 28mm tires on it (can accept up to 44mm IIRC) but have somewhere around 25,000 miles on the bike (used it as a long distance commuter for several years). Great bike, might someday actually take it off road, but not what I'm looking to build.
