I'm trying to overhaul the bottom bracket on my 1986 Bridgestone MTB. I assume it's a square tapered crank? I got the universal crank puller from Park CWP-7, but I can't seem to get the nut off with a socket wrench. I'm using a 14mm socket, does that sound right? I applied a moderate amount of force and it doesn't budge. How hard should it be to remove these?
