There are a large price range for Suspension forks.. @ $400 they start to get better
Rockshox brand is now owned by SRAM Corp.

there are cheaper ones they you will find on $400 bikes

Plus there is the replacement fork without suspension

But made long enough Blades , to not drop the head tube angle and change the steering feel .

Needing Cheap and reliable I'd Go with The latter Look them up at like Nashbar.




Only thing is long enough steerer tube , Buy a lot of spacers , dont cut it too short too soon.
