Bikes: 1987 Schwinn Circuit, 1986 Schwinn Passage, 1987 Shogun Katana, 2018 Giant Anyroad Advanced, 2013 Karate Monkey

Need help with brake set research.
I've been researching the original spec sheet for my 1990 Schwinn Crosscut. The sheet lists the brakes as 'Shimano 400LX w/Linear Response (SLR)'

I've literally spent hours trying to track down more information on these brakes. I can't even find a picture of them much less a model number.

Anyone have more info?
