I would not attempt repacking one that was spinning smoothly and quietly. I recently replaced my HT2 BB after it went bad, so I may try repacking the old one just to see if it works. They are pretty cheap to replace, and there's nothing more annoying than a creaky crank on a long ride. Even worse on tour.
