It is easily the best clincher tyre I have ever used. It's extremely supple and the 23mm rides nicer than any 25mm tyre I've used in other makes. I couldn't honestly say it is like riding a tub, but it's as close as you're going to get. It feels extremely grippy and inspires a lot of confidence in the turns. Really a superb tyre, imo.
Having said that, there are two downsides. The first is the price, though Wiggle have some on sale at the moment. The second is that their flat construction makes them a ***** to fit when you first put them on the bike. I destroyed two latex tubes trying to get them on, and eventually resorted to fitting them with an old, patched butyl tube. Once you've ridden them for a while, though, they take on a rounded shape and go off and on easily enough.
I've got about 1000 miles on the current set. Only one flat so far, and on inspection that was a failure of the tube at the valve, not a puncture.
Did I mention that I love these tyres?
Look nice...OTOH I can get Vittoria Open Corsa CXIII tires for half the price if I import them....Yay for Brexit!
