I purchased a 2014 Impulso last summer after 10 years on a Felt that was too big for me. I was really happy with it, but found a good deal on an R2 so I jumped to that a month ago. On the Impulso, I enjoyed the endurance geometry and felt very relaxed on it. My longest ride was 40ish miles but I certainly felt I could go further. The bike was certainly more stable than the R2. I routinely ride chipseal roads around here and it was a comfortable ride. I expect what little I could feel of the vibration would disappear with the new model with the 25c tires. I didn't really ever stomp on it for power to test flex but never felt I was bringing up the lead due to the bike (engine yes, bike no).
