I can honestly say that in the six months I've been using clipless, that has never happened to me. Of course, I don't ride in the city, so I'm not in and out 40 or 50 times on a ride. I fell 3 or 4 times during my first month when stopping because I hadn't gotten sufficiently used to riding clipless, but I never pulled "the slvoid maneuver".
