Well, she finally did get stolen. My restoration was getting worn, and I probably wasn't being as careful about how/where I locked her up. I found her locked to a fence a couple months later. I got the cops to stand by while I cut the lock and took her home. In the end, she had too much damage to try to bring her back to life, and I donated her to
Gearin Up Bicycles The project was so worthwhile even with it's sad end. It probably cost me as much to ride this bike as it would have a new bike but more enjoyable to me.
