Scenery was the same all day. Really nice rolling green landscape called the Sandhills. It was not flat but a good rolling terrain. Wind was still howling from start to finish with more of the same for tomorrow. 20-30 mph winds with mostly crosswinds today. More of the same for tomorrow but I'll be headed more SE so it will be a LONG 95 miles.
My one beef, if it's allowed, were the expansion joints on the shoulders. Just horrific. I probably rode 30+ miles in the road just avoid the thump, thump......and fear of cracking a wheel, frame or a pinch flat. Little traffic so at even 65 mph speed limits I felt pretty comfortable,
Woo hoooo!! Another time zone done.

Those "joints" are actually frost cracks. If I remember correctly, Iowa is worse. They are really a pain in the butt
