Second post to this thread, with some updates to my bike. I've ridden enough to figure out more about what I want/like, so... voila, the updated Stumpy:



Changes since last time:

• Panaracer Smoke/Dart combo to replace the default tires - tired of the crappy grip and flats; moved to slightly bigger tires (2.0 -> 2.1)
• Eggbeater SL pedals to replace the Shimano SPDs - much easier to get locked in
• Moved the pump, saddle bag and water bottle into a camelback - bike rattles less; easier to get a drink while riding
• Took off the lights - not doing any night riding for now
• Lost the bar ends, replaced with Ergon grips - fixes my hand numbness problems; removed the risk of bar ends catching on trees
• Took off the Fox fork graphics and other stickers - I like a clean look, don't you?

Truth be told, my next bike I'll probably go entirely custom. Functionality aside, I'd like to ride an enigma, with no graphics and no recognizable brand... there's something about a bike that's completely yours, from the top down, and not some off-the-shelf dealie.
