It's now been ~700-miles I've put on this computer and I seem to have the same problem; however, it happens more than I'd like, probably about once per week, but that's just a rough guess. Did the time clear also? About the only thing you could do is change the batteries; kind of funny but the instructions even state that the batteries that come with it are crap and won't last long. Could be a weak battery(s).
