I have seen plenty of examples of folks using everything from Dutch step through, foldable, fixed gear/single speed, road, cyclocross, recumbant, ebike, etc. Saw a guy with a recumbant and fairing near the GWB back in late winter. It was a 60 lb bike, but I bet he can smoke anyone on a flat or downhill.
