Out of curiosity - were you asking for "donations" or is this a typo for "directions?"
I've been out on rides and when I've seen people stopped with obvious problems I'll give a shout out if they need help. Sometimes they say yes and sometimes the answer is no. Two weeks ago, my daughter and I helped an older guy with a hybrid on the Montour Rail Trail. His chain had jumped off and was wrapped around and caught in the inner chain ring. He was trying to finesse it out with no luck. We just gave it a couple of hard tugs and got him up and running. This was only part of his problem that day - he also had lost his car keys somewhere along the trail and looking for them was at least doubling his mileage for the day.
