Now that you mention it, that makes sense. I did not sell Schwinns in those days but we worked on a lot of them.
DT is one of the most dominant brands in Spokes these days. I would ride the bike until I started breaking spokes. The easy way to rebuild those wheels is ---detention the wheel by backing off every spoke one full turn. Then replacing one quarter of the spokes at once. all the right side pulling spokes then all the right side non pulling spokes. easy as pie.
