New Speciaized Sirrus Comp Carbon, four weeks old. I am new new to biking and this is my second bike in four months.
To me the drivetrain feels rough and makes a little noise. I am comparing this to my Fuji Traverse which is smooth and quiet.
I was told by LBS that because it has ten gears the chain fits tighter in the cassette causing the little bit of noise I am hearing.
Slight roughness all of the time (just enough to notice), and slight noise mainly when a load is put on.
To me a drivetrain in should be smooth and quiet.
So here are what I think my choices are.
1- Change to a narrow chain.
2-Change the cassette to a nine speed.
3-Grin and bear it.
I am open to any suggestions to help and smooth out this situation. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
