As embarrassing as it is, it has clear RTV in it doing a half a$$ job, just now. The frame protector that is, sadly the lock nut cap is just missing.
Go to an auto parts store and look at their O rings, usually a fuel system part. You may need to take a caliper with you and then buy a half dozen.
