yes. i had a mtb front derailleur on it before. the lever pull ratio was much higher, and fd trimming was a lot easier. the reason i moved away from the mtb derailleur is because of tire clearance issues. shimano chainrings. they're not the problem
Not quite what I asked. Try to isolate the der movement separate of the shifting. Remove the chain fro the rings and see if mere moving the der with the shift lever is the same without the chain and derailing energy. To compare with another der is not a direct comparison. Andy
