Drivers coming in can make a left turn - running you over.
Can start passing car in front of them - running you over.
Cars pulling in from the side can run you over.
The speed difference being your speed + their speed.
When drivers coming behind you are blinded, they are most likely to pass to the left of you, if you're holding the right part of the lane.
The speed difference being their speed - your speed: giving them a lot more time to react.
Riding on the wrong side of the road makes it less likely for people to expect you, and notice you because of that. Plus it can confuse some drivers causing all sorts of problems.
