Tektro mechanical disc brakes - no concentric washers - use V-brake ones?
Evening chaps,
Cheap Tektro mechanical disc brake calipers seem to mount directly without concentric washers, à la Avid BB5 or BB7.
This means that getting the caliper exactly lined up with the rotor is dependent upon the post mounts being perfect.
Now, Avid get round that by supplying the calipers with concentric washers so you can line it up nicely, just like those on a V-brake pad.
Has anyone tried to repurpose these concentric washers from an old V pad to mount and fine adjust the Tektro calipers? Are they big enough? Is the mounting bolt long enough or does it need to be swapped out for a longer one?
Thanks in advance for any advice!
