BB30A wouldn't make a diffrence in the spindle getting through the bearings, it just allows you to use cranks with both 68 and 73mm shells so you would need correct spacers depending on you BB shell. The spindle is the same width either way and the bearings are the same. I have a SRAM Red 22 crankset on my BB30. it works great, but I did have to tap it a bit to get it through the bearings the first time
