Probably 30 years back, I made a version out of oak that leaned against a wall without fasteners. Held two bikes. Made a slight error in gluing felt liner in the notches where a bikes top tube would rest. In time the glue worked through the felt and mildly marred the underside of the bikes top tube.

One could also affix two stands, back to back to make it free-stand and hold four bikes.

Anyways, there was a company called Lean 2 that made a furniture grade type. Not sure if made anymore but here's another sort of in the same concept.
