Ok, I was all ready to agree with everyone here and just let it go, but then I went on YouTube and watched some brake bleeding vids. I have a couple questions.
1) all they were doing, was unscrewing the top screw, bleed port screw, and taking a syringe and literally letting some oil drip into the hole, while half of it spilled out and they wiped it off. That's ALL they were doing.
2) I saw them also wipe oil off down by the caliper and brake. When they were trying to fill the top.
Every video said to NOT get any oil on the brakes or they would need replaced. And they all also removed the calipers when doing this. Lastly, NONE of the vids simply filled the bleed hole with oil, and was done.
Lastly, when I watched a Shimano specific vid, he said Shimano uses mineral oil, and not DOT oil. The shop just used a syringe, I have no idea if it was DOT or mineral. Sigh... Worst part, I am pretty sure oil was on the caliper and disc brake. I know I saw him wipe it off a couple times.
