You mostly spoke of riding position. I do not sit "bolt upright", as you call it, on this bike at all, nor is it technically a comfort bike from what I can tell from the wildly varying descriptions of those from one manufacturer to the next.
You are correct that not one contributor suggested the bike I ended up with. Aside from two brief mentions of a Trek and a Giant, no one else actually mentioned any of the only brands I said I have available to me locally. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all advice, I'm just having a hard time understanding the attitude now.
