This is the set up on my commuting bike. Campy Ergo levers with Campy NR standard reach (and nutted attachment for the fenders) calipers. While not quite as powerful as dual pivot or canti brakes (as on other of my bikes) I stop just fine. In fact I prefer the more solid feel of this set up to the mushy feel that completely modern dual pivot calipers can have. I do run Scott Mathouser pads and rims with machined brake tracks. Andy.
Thanks for the response Andrew, mine as short reach so should have just a bit more bite. Looking at the Centaur brakes on my other bike it looks like the front brake caliper is the only one with the double pivot anyway. that surprised me an I had never paid attention to that when I first built that bike up.
