I love those free spirits. I turned mine into a fixed gear. 700c wheels fit just fine but there wasn't room for a brake on the rear wheel.

BB is standard English thread so crank and BB swap was easy.

No derailleur hanger in back so that's not optimum for index shifting use, so some friction barend shifters would be a wise choice
