Hi all, wanted to share response from Perennial in MN (nitto>brompton rack):
"We have nothing against the Brompton rack, but when it comes to strength and durability the hands-down victor will always be Nitto.
Brazed Cromolly (Nitto) vs cast aluminum (Brompton) are the materials used to make the racks, and cromolly is significantly more durable.
From our point of view, if you’re ordering a B-Spoke bike, then the Brompton rack saves you a fair bit of money and is a pretty good choice, but if you’re ordering a rack to fit onto a currently owned Brompton, then the Nitto rack is the way to go as they cost difference is minimal and the Nitto is a pretty special peice of hardware."
