A lesson about core strength. When you're a decent sprinter from the field, and you've done very little core work (and you're a masters woman of a certain age), don't think you can start training on full effort standing start sprints and not have something happen to your back. Day five of pain now. I visit the doctor tomorrow.
Core training starts when I feel better and standing start training will resume when I have a core that can support my leg strength.
