I don't use my 800 for logging anymore, but I don't know how to turn it off and still get everything else. So I let it record and don't do anything with it. Saving is instant so there's no real harm. And it's nice to have a backup.
saving is fine unless you ride 200 miles, then it crashes. All you have to do is press "lap" and it starts a new file. I'm just tired of being reminded of the all the horrible people that use strava, the horrible programmers that can't be bothered to fix a simple bug, and everything else that is wrong in the gps world. So if I could turn logging off, then that would make me a lot happier.
Funny thing is, I only recently decided to start logging all of my data as part of an effort to improve my health, so now I don't want to turn off logging. But I would like them to fix this bug -- so many pointless bonus miles.
