i have the vortex smart. 300 or 3-something euros. was all sorts of pissed off at the beginning because it kept slipping and kept slipping on simulated inclines. finally bought a tacx trainer tire and pumped to exact exact recommended pressure and the problem more or less went away

with that solved, i use it for zwift, and works perfectly as intended. not too loud. doesnt take up too much space. hooks up to phone and computer very easily (used a 20$ ant+ dongle from amazon for laptop).


the other thing i would say is to get a big ass floor / box / standing fan in anything other than cold weather. you sweat incredible amount riding in place with no air to wick it away.
maybe some sort of floor pad if you want to train indoors and dont want to ruin the surfaces.
and some sort of table or surface in reachable distance to keep towel, water, phone, etc
