Imitation is the best form of flattery, Pegasus came out with a model that had the black bands on it just like a Raleigh Grand Prix; and not only that, the lettering caligraphy was also just like an RGP except it said Pegasus.
I saw a guy selling a Pegasus for $50-$75 from Wisconsin, it didn't look that bad. Maybe it's a bike found more in the Midwest. It was a bike to beat around on; and it didn't look bad. That one was a sky blue.
And how about this, there is one on Old Ten Speed but no chrome tips:

"A 2 dollar yard sale find. Has seen a lot of weather but a good straight smooth rider on likely original rubber. Front derailleur is broke and disabled. Have no info about the maker, model or distributor of this OTS. Can’t find a thing about them on the web. Serial # 7205695. Year ? . Weight is 33 pounds. Has Suntour Honor and Spirt derailleur’s. Neat heart shaped frame locating lugs. Nice pearl blue paint."
Sorry if someone else posted it, looks like someone on ebay is offering one for $250 right now. In Illinois.

Now, if one is interested, check out the calligraphy and the design, it really is a lot like the old Grand Prix; except in a sky blue color. I'd no idea how it would run but it is interesting. Some years were more similar per the lettering than others but just from this random photo, one sees the black bands. This is a real Grand Prix below.
The script, it's similar. One can research it for oneself.
My personal opinion, it probably has some quality on the basis of what I've seen. And probably more than a joke.
The bike on page one yes, likely has Altenberger brakes, German or Belgium, wherever they were made, real bike boom stuff.
