As I said over on the Masters Forum (where I reside), I have a diagnosis of my back injury. It's a grade two sprain of a muscle in my lower left back, which is of course very painful and has thrown the muscles around it out of kilter while everything tries to compensate. No nerve impingement, no disc involvement. Whew! Still, it hurts, it's been weakened, and it's going to take some time to heal completely.
Then, it's on to core strengthening - carefully!
