Maybe it is the idealism of a melancholic temperament but I tend not to trust criminals who steal another company's reputation and put it on their own product.

Having said that, there is nothing to say that a counterfeit saddle won't last forever. I'm sure there are some fine counterfeit saddles, aircraft parts and pharmaceuticals being used all over the world today. I choose to avoid them to the extent that it is possible, that's all.
