2. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?
2013 Fuji Roubaix – aluminum frame, carbon forks. Also old generic mtn bike.
3. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?
I am type II diabetic – takes 3 meds for that, no insulin, and take 50+ vitamins. And Advil as needed.
4. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?
Slowed down a lot. I usually average about 13 -14 mph. I used to race local Cat 3 criteriums and road races. I want to increase my speed back up to at least 15 – 16 mph
5. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?
Started riding a lot, and long distances when I was about 23. I’m now 59.
6. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides.
I ride my road bike between 15 -25 miles and my mountain bike between 10-15 miles.
7. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?
Try to ride twice a week. Max of about 35 miles. Trying to increase that.
