That's what I keep hearing...bikes fitting in small cars. But I've tried fitting my bike in my Kia Optima numerous times (putting a couple big scratches on my car in the process) and it won't fit in the trunk (put rear seats down and it's too tall at handlebars and too wide because the trunk narrows before it goes into the rear seat area). I could slide it in behind my seats if I took just the front wheel off but eventually I'm sure it would tear the seats...costing more to fix than if I would have gotten a hitch and rack.
