I'm a bit of a fixture around here since I use the bike for all manor of everyday transport in an affluent suburb where it's just about unheard of.
The most common thing I get is "didn't I see you in (someplace else 5-10 miles away) the other day" or same thing "an hour ago".
Usually I'll say yes, and explain that it's well within the range. Every once in a while, I'll deny it saying it was my (non-existent) twin brother or a clone.
People are staggered that you can use a bicycle to get around within a 10 mile or so radius.
