I only brought the point up earlier as a reminder of the importance of posting a full history when asking for help. Without knowing that the RD had been taken apart, no one trying to help would have any reason to suspect that this was more about chain tension then chain length. That clue might have steered people to look at the right issue sooner.

BTW - I bring stuff like this not to chide people, but in the hopes that others reading the thread would see how accurate and complete info can help elicit on target responses.

Exactly; what you don't say is at least as important as what you do.
