The county did improve the road shoulder which is a great positive, but it is a high cost to pay to get some road work actually done.
That usually is the norm for most DOTs, a number of persons either have to die, or many more injured before a number of DOTs take any action in making road safety improvements.
Our state DOT had to be shamed into action in order to make safety improvements on one major section of roadway in our area, even going to the extent of having several families, of crash victims, renting out billboards along this one major stretch of road, calling out the state DOT to make improvements.
