Ok, I think that's a fair question. Two answers.
1. The items that people here consider to be high in posing factor ie limited availability european exclusive frames, Zero Gravity brakes, carbon cranks, carbon wheels, Fizik Saddles. These items all share one commonality, an eye watering price tag.

2. I would have suggested Zipps myself, which are pricey too, however, go kick the tires at a triathlon transition 2 area and you'll see Zipps as far as the eye can see. The price tag of those Obermeyers is extremely exclusionary, hence MASSIVE posing points.

I wouldn't say "the" determining factor, but definitely "A" determining factor.
