This bike was laying in my basement for more than one year. S.N. put in around 1972.
It is time to give it a new life. I want to rebuild it for me not for sale.
Beautiful frame, but all rusty. I started cleaning it with WD40 and steel wool.
The derailleurs are cheap, broken Simplex. the brakes are Weinmann.
I have some parts, for the derailleurs:
A complete group Campagnolo Nuovo Record, marked 82, coming from a Rossin, large frame 25".
A lot of Shimano 600, Arabesque, a complete Tricolor, large cage, small cage.
I would like to save the Campi group and leave the Rossin as it is.
I like to use the Shimano 600 deraileurs and maybe the brakes.
I can use for the brakes some Mafac Racer I have from a bent Peugeot.
Or I can wait to get some Simplex Prestige parts, I had three bikes with them this year, but they are gone.
What is your opinion, what should I use?
