Actually there are young 20's and 30 somethings doing tours, but most have wealthy parents that support them, and others, like a family friend of ours, saved up money from both their jobs for 3 years after getting married than quit their jobs and took off for a year. I couldn't do that because my wife would have never gone and I couldn't leave her for a year pursuing a some wild dream, reality settles in and it just isn't feasible to do.
