Long ago I learned the hard way that when ever you take a spill a close inspection is an absolute rule. Anything bent needs to be taken apart. Especially with newer light weight bikes (Post 1970s).
After you take your dérailleur off you might find not only a bent hanger but also a tear or crack in your seat tube or something else predicting a future failure.
Buddy of mine after a light spill found a cracked bottom bracket on his beautiful ALAN. I think that day we all cried (long walk too)...
Anyway... what I'm saying is take it apart and look close, check it all....
