If you aren't actually in need of going gluten free, I would actually suggest something more along the lines of cutting down/out processed foods like white pasta, white bread, extra sugar, etc. Like when I went fully gluten-free I didn't just replace all the gluten things with their gluten alternative. I still don't eat much pasta or bread (I do on occasion) and my diet is mostly fruit, veg, tubers, and meat. I do eat cereal in the morning and sometimes some microwave meals when I'm in a hurry during lunch time. And since I've picked cycling back up I've started eating a lot of potatoes (good carbs, more potassium than bananas).
