Saturday afternoon's commute home was noteworthy only in that I had some free time, so I took a quick detour to Torrey Pines grade (a favored short climb in the San Diego area). I had read in the Road Cycling forum that there was a wind blowing from north to south (ie up the hill), so I just had to go ride. Even with street clothes on, thanks to the gentle tailwind, I managed to average over 10 MPH up the climb.
