I installed the new one correctly... I know that much so I shouldn't really be worried now that there's a little creaking. My question is... is my frame effed because this guy was a moron? or if this BB ends up coming out because of the nearly stripped threads is there anything I can do to keep the frame working?
there are threadless bottom brackets that lock in and use absolutly no threads what so ever. they work great from what i hear. i know stronglight makes one they are made so that when this kinda thing happens you don't have to toss a frame. a lot of good frames can be saved this way. http://www.zefal.com/stronglight/pag...keyProd=jp1000

also new bb don't use lockrings, they don't need them.

i don't know what the comptability of campy bb with miche cranks is, but i think some have diffrent taper size. did you use a 70mm wide bottom bracket? also if you used one of the alloy taper campy bb and it doesn't fit perfect with your cranks it might cause disaster for your cranks.
