Thanks, WPH. I am a bit of a numbers geek and use it for motivation, but it really doesn't matter if I end up with 39,999 miles.

BTW, while I was out, we had to deal with Hurricane Matthew and it was devastating in NC. I work with the state emergency response team, which I why I had to work that week with my car. The flooding here was incredible, on par with Hurricane Floyd in 1999. Fortunately, I didn't suffer any personal damage, but the greenways in my city were heavily flooded and washed out in places. Many portions of the trails that I frequently ride on were covered with floodwaters ranging from 4-12' deep for a while. Some parts of the trails may be closed for repairs for months.
