My afternoon commutes have been plagued by gnats lately, especially (but not only) along the half mile of canal towpath. Sometimes clouds of them, bouncing off my face like snowflakes, getting in my eyes, tangled in my arm hair, stuck in my clothes. Ugh. Maybe it's cold enough to keep the little buggers down now....
